8. I am super excited that in April there is the TAF Conference. And I am taking the Jaki Shelton-Green class. As a poet, I look forward to learn some new stuff.

9. Weird movies. I sometimes turn on a movie while I am working on a project or doing chores. It may take me a few days to watch or listen to one. I saw this one about a man who tries to see what his families lives would be like if he were not around. It was kind of interesting, but mostly narrative, which I normally don’t like, and the ending was not what I expected. If you saw this, I would like to know what you think. Have you ever wonder what life would be like if you were not around? I wonder if I would be able to watch life without me. Weird, huh? That may be what inspired this movie.

10. A poet I admire asked my input on their book. It was an honor.

It’s been a busy week when I am just getting to my TTOT. What it is is an opportunity to reflect on the past week and remind myself about how an attitude of gratitude affects my whole point of view. Perhaps you would like to join in. Just go to this LINK and hop on the blog hop.

1. March 15 deadline is over for the corporate tax world and April 15 is now less than a month away.

2. I won a Saint Patrick’s shirt.

3. Sundays with sunshine that allow for a lovely stroll.

4. Events to celebrate such as St. Patrick’s Day. As I am part Irish – thanks to my great grandmother O’Brien – I like to celebrate. I wore my green, but I also have those green eyes of which I spoke in my 6 Sentence Story. You can see that HERE

5. Sleep. I had a great night of sleep last night. It was the bestest of the week! I think that it was because I had nothing set to get up for and I was able to just sleep. I was still up before 6, but I was in bed and quickly asleep before 9.

6. I am able to read. It has been fun to catch up this morning on all the posts. I love the variety of stories and thankfuls.

7. Chocolate.

8. D. Avery for telling about Serious Flash Fiction and March Mathness. She rocked my brain for a”muse”ment in a good kind of way. We blog hop on some of the same circuits and I am having fun! Here’s my Pi Day post 🙂

9. When somebody says I did a great job and this happened several times this week.

10. My varied writing communities. This week I want to recognize TAF as they are great for a lot of things, including problem solving. Check them out HERE

OK that’s my list. I kind of went quick today, but what’s done is done. No backsies…

10 Things of Thankful – February 22

It’s that time again to express my 10 Things of Thankful or TTOT.

1. So, I did this for another challenge called The Six Sentence Challenge. I thought it fit in the theme of gratitude. You can hop over to read my actual post on my blog. It was a lot of fun to write and I tried to put myself in Ellie’s “shoes.” I am thankful that my niece created the painting as a special request from me and it inspired me to write the story. Ellie’s Story

2. Gratitude for adjusting to the new medication. Hopeful that this will help.

3. Daddy and Jeffrey. Daddy’s will be gone 12 years as of February 25 and my brother Jeffrey has been gone since February 17, 1969 Here’s montage of pictures my sister created of Jeffrey and you can also see Daddy giving him his bottle.

Jeffrey

I am grateful for these fellows in my life, more than words can express. And even if they were not long enough here, I am grateful for when they were. And I am grateful for when I see reminders of them. Daddy lived to be 86 and Jeffrey to be 9. Here’s another picture of Daddy. Isn’t he handsome?

4. Philatelism… I developed an interest in stamp collecting many years ago. While I haven’t touched them in a good while, I still save them with the thought that I will work on them in my old age. It’s interesting to learn the stories behind stamps, especially the history. Here’s a picture I keep by my desk.

5. The ability to learn new things. The past couple of weeks I have been learning a new task and it’s caused my brain to hurt. My mind gets foggy as it is, so I am grateful that I can take some time to learn this.

6. Food. I am glad to have it to eat and glad they make it so I can eat it. There are certain things that my tummy doesn’t like a whole lot, so I am grateful for choices.

7. My blog friend Stacy. She writes a lot about gratitude in her blog. Here’s the latest! NegativeSpacey

8. Humor! It takes a good dose of smileage to get through each days mileage. I just made that up!

9. Writing! I have been working on my next book, except I figured out a different focus and it’s helped my brain cells to get excited.

10. Rest. I am working hard to get my sleep intact and while it is challenging, I made it through last night until about 3 a.m. Since I went to bed at 8 I am calling that a WIN!!
