Ten Things of Thankful-April 7, 2025

April Showers bring May Flowers, and this woman is one very thankful person for gratitude #1 RAIN!!! Over the past month, I have been buying up plants to get ready for the outdoor pots. I even bought some shade friendly flower seeds, since my porch is not super sunny. I gave all of my plants a good working over and they are all waiting in line for their transition. I am grateful #2 for all the plants. When I see pretty flowers, it just cheers up my day.
#3 is BIRD MANIA!! I LOVE this! The little chirpers are just having the time of their lives! They visit the porch often, probably looking for building materials or nesting places. I was in a zoom interview with a writer a while ago and we were serenaded by the birds. IT was lovely.
#4 is that daughter is having a great time with her bowling league sponsored by Special Olympics. Her average has improved pretty quickly. It’s cool that she has co-workers in the league. #5 She has taken off well with her barista responsibilities. She loves telling visitors about the history of the company for which she works. An ambassador, I suppose we could say.
#6 Tax season is longer this year due to hurricane extensions. I am very grateful that the office is providing suppers for the accounting team and hubby gets a nice, hot meal at work. It’s odd at home as I am used to cooking supper, but we ladies have been eating light since it’s good for us.
#7 If you follow this blog, then you can see there are many thankfuls in my business world. There are several books published or in the process of being published. I love the fact that one of the authors, namely Kaelen Felix, placed as a finalist for her children’s book Wings and Whispers, Tales of Friendship, Volume 1.
#8 National Poetry Month has kept me hopping and I am grateful for the energy to keep up. #9 Times in my life when I have had the pleasure of getting to know two beautiful people who have both crossed over to the other side. And that there is a place for peace through prayers and support for those closest to these fine people. Even as distance affects these relationships, the social media connection has kept us communicating.
#10 You! I am grateful for this blog family who always has hope in all things. I am truly blessed to have you in my life.
And that’s a wrap!

Ten Things of Thankful-March 3, 2025

Happy March and TTOT Time!
It’s actually World Writers’ Day! I posted about that just a moment ago. If you are a writer or are thinking about working on writing skills, it’s a great day to get started!
- I am thankful to be a writer. I may not be perfect, but I try my best. What is most important to me is to keep trying. We all have a story to tell…
- That is my #2 thankful. I am thankful that people tell their stories. Whether fact or fiction or a mix of both, I love to read stories. I am thankful that I was able to finish reading a book yesterday.
- The Storied Life of AJ Fikry is the story I finished reading. I have seen the movie and decided to compare the book to the movie. I found some answers in the book that filled in the blanks. I am glad I read the book, for this reason.
- My baby rose bush is budding and it’s so cool to watch it. I keep it at my desk by the window and it’s very thankful as the sun comes in at just the right amount. Once it warms up steadier outside, I will move her out there.
- This week is a heavy week for me. I have a Women in Publishing Summit from tomorrow through Saturday. It’s going to be interesting; I am sure, and I am grateful I am able to do this via Zoom. There are also two other events at the same time, but thanks to recordings, I can get in all three. It’s just going to mean that I watch some videos next week.
- This cardinal has been visiting my porch on a regular basis. We don’t get them, normally, but I believe this is the same one, just one, coming around. He’s looking at the outdoor plants.
- Maintenance is a benefit when you rent. I am grateful for maintenance who fixed an urgent matter in the same day.
- I found turkey on sale for .79 a pound. It is a small one, which I prefer. We like turkey any time of the year.
- Daughter has been trying pickleball with her friend and is loving it. She is also starting a bowling team. She’s pretty pleased.
- YOU What’s your thankful? Let’s hear it!
Ten Things of Thankful-February 24, 2025

Happy Month of Love and TTOT! Let’s hop to it!
- Black History Month – If you have been hanging out at my blog, you can see how thankful I am for this month. Why not have the month of love aligned with Black History? It sounds like a great precedent to set. AMIRIGHT?
- Love is Love and I love that it is love. I am thankful for love in all the kinds called love.
- I picked up a rose bush. It’s miniature roses and so cute. Well, I gave it a pruning and new buds are saying “hello.”

4. Overcoming challenges with a special project, new to me, that now is a success. WHEW!
5. Getting caught up on projects, working ahead, so I can work on practicing some things to be done soon.
6. A good health report.
7. The snow has melted. I will say it was pretty. I am done now, though.
8. Daughter has these projects she is working hard on, and I am so proud of her for pursuing new ventures.
9. My electric throw blanket which may be saving my life. Well, not really, but I will say it’s making a difference. Still grateful to Wendy for this gift. She’s so sweet.
10. YOU and What’s your thankful today?
