For Emma L. Sembly, every story teaches a lesson, and every life is a story.Emma is a life-long storyteller and lover of stories. As a child, Emma loved telling fantastical tales, starting with a captive audience consisting of her little sister. After she grew up, Emma continued to create stories that her students loved.With a bachelor's degree in psychology from Elmhurst College and a master's degree in reading from Johns Hopkins University, Emma set out on a thirty-seven-year journey as an educator in the Baltimore City Public School System, where she taught children with different abilities on both elementary and high school levels. During that time, she also created stories for her own daughter and niece, then for her grandchildren and great nieces.Now, Emma creates stories for children of all ages, especially the young at heart.Emma also has a podcast, Just Folks: Conversations with Emma, in which she provides a platform where regular, everyday humans can share their own stories with listeners of all persuasions. Life lessons shared.Drawing and writing poetry are among Emma's favorite things to do. She also enjoys planting red flowers around her home. - Daughter finished her bag for her walker. It’s made with quilt squares and looks cute and is practical.

3. We are having an outing in town before the winter storm hits and I am grateful for warnings.
4. I am grateful for the first responders of Colorado who made it their mission to help people and their pets find safety during the fires. I watched the police cam videos last night on the news and it was truly heart rendering.
5. Today, I am participating in the book launch of this book at 9 a.m.

Juiced Up
Jeremy wondered as he looked at the tepid stream, just how much the sun was so juiced up that it blew out the springs. “Think about it,” he said, “it seems like we have gone from living under a safe shield and now we are under a mesh umbrella with impure rains.”
“Such as it is,” replied Roxanne, “we still live on this planet. What other choice do we have?”
Jeremy stared at Roxanne and looked about. “Okay, then let’s pack our essentials and ride out to the ends of the earth, as far north as we can tolerate.”
