1. We went to the Lavender Festival. There were booths with crafts, beverages, foods etc and a store. Here are some pics:

2. Secret Project is almost done!

3. I received my autographed copy as one of the editors for Simplicity Beckons. It’s always nice to be a part of a project where more words of poetry are shared. I had a nice visit with the author and we are working on some more words. When one poet meets with another poet in real time, it’s a beautiful thing. I also shared my autographed copy of Heart Sounds with her.

4. Beautiful sunny days. We’ve had many in a row and I am always happy to see sunshine.

5. & 6. Maintenance. When something goes wrong, I can message the office and somebody takes care of it. And the repair crew came this week to replace baseboards and paint as a result of water damage from next door. I am grateful that the big fans are gone and it’s peaceful.

7. Blueberries – I know I expressed thanks for these beauties before, but they are still in the stores and I am grabbing them up. They are so good and good for you.

8. Weight loss is still happening up in here!

9. Test results. Someone most dear to me had a mammogram and since they had a questionable one last time, I was worried. All went splendid! YAY for the “girls.”

10. Hearing. Someone else most dear to me had to have their ears treated and I am grateful they can now hear and are on the mend.

OK That’s what I have so how about you?

Release Me, Please – Six Sentence Story

Release Me, Please

Muscular release from the wounds of life, not brought on by anything other than daily living an anthem to the whole living life fully thing, which means on same days the act of placing one foot in front of the other.

Massage feels wonderful, when applied, by a skilled therapist, well-studied and devoted to their work and I am most grateful when I experience recovery, even if for a little while, because it makes my life tolerable.
It is interesting to me how some people look at massage at a treat or a luxury item and this makes me sad, when it is someone who I know would have a better life for having a massage, it’s what kept me going when I had nothing to go on and I mean nothing.

Saving money is a challenge when you have so many demands on your life, however it is money well saved that goes to the benefit of massage and other forms of treatment not covered by health plans, such a shame that these are not covered since they help life be more tolerable and I have to wonder about the sensibility of all this.

Once, I wrote an article about the benefits of massage and it was published by a client, many moons ago and I wonder if it affected the lives of the readers, granted the article benefited getting potential clients, but that only added to the benefit because someone might be enriched by the experience, good, I say.

Not everybody can reap the benefits of massage, especially if muscle trauma and muscle memory has been affected, and this makes me sad, but there are other things outside of massage which may help and I encourage people to seek alternatives, as one who has benefited from acupuncture and other alternative treatments and, oh how I do not love the word “alternative”, but I don’t write the rules or make the language as I just say what I say and so be it; Have a releaseful day!

Extension
“I’d like an extension, please, on my marriage,” Chas knelt to the linoleum with Carl’s hands in his.

“Chas, you know I am forever yours, no extension needed, we are forever and ever, no doubt,” Carl’s misty eyes told more.

“Yes, yes, my love, I know this, but, you see, we got a late start on all this legal mess and, well, I want to gain back what we missed, you know, as if we could, but I am a dreamer,” Chas slipped his hands on Carl’s knees.

“Fear not, my love, although we had to do this legally, for obvious reasons, my heart has been yours ever since I first saw your eyes and this is something that time cannot strip away,” Carl grasped Chas’ hands and held them to his heart, before wiping his tears.

“True, my love, we can’t go back in time and while our tomorrows are counted, we can still celebrate our love each and every day; When I wake and look in your eyes, I know the day has our names embossed on whatever plans are made,” Chas closed is eyes while tears rolled down his cheeks.

Carl looked to the universe and cried, “Today, just for today, let’s celebrate, as the clock needs to stop for us, just for this day; Is that too much to ask?”
