A Mundane Life

Photo by Ludvig Hedenborg on Pexels.com

Simon lived a ho-hum life & often told his mother

I’m bored he’d say, without recall, she’d find him something or other

Clean his room, sweep the floors, she’d give him lots of chores

As soon as he was done, he’d bounce on out the door

While he dug the sand & formed great mounds it finally hit his brain

Unless I want to spend all days inside, I’d best not pout mundane

There you have it, that’s my Six Sentence Story/Poem – you might want to go check out other’s writings, I am sure they are excellent! Here’s the LINK

Little Rosy Rhonda

Photo by Tatiana Syrikova on Pexels.com

little rosy Rhonda has such a sassy style

it precedes the way she pops about, busy all the while

some say she’s rambunctious, never sitting still

she starts at early morning, a determined sis with will

how much to cherish such a joy, to find her in ones presence

to have such energy around, this reminds us of life’s essence

…..

So, there you have it my Six Sentence Story, which is a six lined poem. Same church, different pew. How about you go see who else joined in the fun. You can go to this LINK and see what’s happening.

Ten Things of Thankful February 19 2022

Photo by Magda Ehlers on Pexels.com

It’s TTOT time! Let’s jump to it!

  1. Deals on graphics programs. I love it when it all just comes together when my budget matches my purchase.
  2. Sweet Dreams. When I have them, it is a celebration and I sure had sweet dreams a couple nights.
  3. Seeing sunshine and feeling warmth. Spring can spring anytime it wants.
  4. Coffee breaks with real people. Using caution, it is now possible. Baby steps.
  5. Events to come. We have one event coming up to show appreciation, a dedication:

6. The other event to come is the Book Launch for Zaneta Varnado Johns “After the Rainbow: Golden Poems.”

7. I am most grateful for the volunteerism and the devotion for both of these events. When you put the call out there and you get chill bumps from the supporters, well that’s a triple coated ice cream cone with sprinkles and nuts of thankfuls.

8. We had a nice celebration of daughter’s birthday. She always likes those Pepperridge Farms cakes, so that makes it easy. It’s a throwback to her younger years when they were used to celebrate during a very busy life. I think she was pleased with her birthday goodies. She always gets something she wanted for Christmas as we look at those end of year deals for her birthday. She was surprised, however, and that made it even better.

9. Getting through January. It’s a month of highs and lows, mostly lows and I got through it.

10. YOU! It’s good to see you! What’s you thankful? Put them in comments or join us!
