Ten Things of Thankful – March 26 2021

Pastel by Lisa Tomey

It’s TTOT time, so let’s hop to it!

  1. Groceries. I was reading about people going to the store and finding empty shelves. I am grateful I don’t encounter this at the store. And I pray that folks soon have loaded shelves, again.
  2. Palm Sunday where I remember a story of looking at the palm of your hand and counting each finger with a statement of what you are grateful for.
  3. Books. I received a book today which was written by a long time ago friend, who may not even remember me, but it is a book called “Let Him Lead You” and I think it sounds like a good one to read.
  4. As so much of what I do is in the book world, I am grateful that I can sometimes listen to books so my eyes can rest. Now, if I could figure out how to make it more than 15 minutes into the book before I fall asleep. I wake up to a notification saying that I have finished the book and please review. I have to go back to where I last remember hearing the book. I can’t tell you how many times I have repeating fake finished a book. Bonus is that it helps with insomnia, so that’s another thankful.
  5. what I said up there in #4
  6. Easter cards suddenly were needed and I found a site where I found a nice picture to use and daughter has them ready to mail. Thankful for free pics and a daughter who is willing to create the pretties.
  7. Sometimes my world seems small, then I see that there are almost 50 people who have contributed to the anthology and I realize how big my world spans. I am grateful for the reach of this world, largely made possible with the internet.
  8. I just sent that there anthology to the last step, so it should be ready very soon. YAY!
  9. Daughter has a good friend who is sincere. That is a great big thankful!
  10. YOU! What have you found in this week of thankfuls? Jackie is all ears!

Ten Things of Thankful – March 19 2021

Happy Friday and TTOT day! Let’s hop to it!

  1. The cardinal picture is reminiscent of my nephews Keith and Michael. Keith’s Heavenly Birthday was February 28 and Michael’s is today. Happy Birthday in Heaven to my nephews. They were both Saint Louis Cardinals fans. So, the cardinal has a double meaning, that of the reminder that when we see a cardinal it represents those we have lost and the other meaning is their fandom. I am grateful for the belief in the possibilities of visitors from the other side of the veil.
  2. The anthology “Heart Beats” is in the final proofing stage and I am just stalking my mailbox for the proof copy. I am grateful to have been involved in this project.
  3. Garden of Neuro has been an affirming experience for me. I recently posted the interview with Nanci Arvizu.
  4. Writing buddies. My good friend, sister from another mister, Chanah and I are back to doing virtual writing. We started this a good while ago on a live meeting basis, then we switched to virtual before virtual was cool and so when could have Sonia involved from long distance, and then we were meeting in person at home and incorporating lunch, and now we got back to virtual. I love doing this. It requires the discipline of focusing on your writing and not getting sidetracked by other things and we can bounce ideas off each other.
  5. Daughter and I started the Sketchbook Revival yesterday. It is a lot of fun. It is free and we created some fun pictures. The important thing is not to worry about perfection and just have fun. I am grateful for this option. And that my daughter is my buddy for these projects.
  6. Sunday is World Poetry Day and I am grateful that Green Cat Books, of which I have interviewed some of their poets, is going to be doing a poetry reading. Green Cat Books is from the UK, hence World Poetry Day. Want to be in the audience? Go HERE to sign up.
  7. Enthusiasm. I love it when people are enthusiastic. It raises my energies to be around others with positive points of view. I hope I am that person and am grateful for the energies of enthusiasm.
  8. The power of prayer. I have an unspoken prayer request for a dear friend and I know that putting this here will generate more prayers.
  9. Collaboration with my niece. I am having so much fun collaborating with my niece who is also my cover artist.
  10. YOU! What is in your gratitude bank? Bernie the Beaver wants to know.

Happy Friday and TTOT time! Let’s hop to it!

Saint Patrick’s Day is coming up so I took the liberty to use a picture to depict this day! What do you do for Saint Patrick’s Day? My dear, late sister would have a green dinner, with mostly green foods. It was always tasty and fun.

Time for some thanks!

  1. There is a coffee cake in the oven and bacon is ready and coffee brewed.
  2. I meet the most interesting people when interviewing for my podcast.
  3. Tax changes which help my unemployed friends and others.
  4. Stimulus help for folks is on its way soon.
  5. More vaccines may be coming soon.
  6. People are still wearing masks, THANK YOU!
  7. Goodberries and that they have sugar free options and fresh berries.
  8. The fish market has real, fresh fish.
  9. That we can have all the foodies treats mentioned.
  10. YOU – What are you thankful for this week? You can comment or do a post. Your hope becomes our hope. Burt the Bull wants to know!

Ten Things of Thankful – March 5 2021

It’s already March! No way! Well, let’s hop to it before all of a sudden it’s April!

  1. Grocery specials-LOVE even more when it is coffee!
  2. Enthusiastic People-LOVE when I ask someone to help me and they don’t hesitate to say YES
  3. Pleasant Surprises-Daughter gave me some pretty decorative papers I can use for projects. She received them from a friend who had more than she needed.
  4. Sketchbook Revival is coming this month and daughter and I will participate in the program like we did last time. Click on the name up there and check it out and it is FREE!
  5. It is both Woman’s Month and Reading Month and what a lovely combo! I am looking forward to National Poetry Month, as well. So, I am thankful for these moments to celebrate!
  6. We had a package arrive and it took us a good while to order it because of all the specific details, and when we got it – it was all wrong, so wrong that it would cost us more money to resolve the issue, so we called customer service and returned it in the blink of an eye. I am grateful there was no drama.
  7. Health goals are being met.
  8. Writing goals are being met.
  9. Connecting with people who share a spiritual belief, simply for the assurance that hope is real
  10. YOU! What are you thankfuls? Come share… Rusty wants to know… In fact, he’s all ears!

Ten Things of Thankful – February 26 2021

Photo by Olya Kobruseva on Pexels.com

It’s TTOT time and let’s get to it!

  1. What do you mean? February is over ALREADY? I mean we still have two more days, but whew! BUT it was a very productive month, despite challenges and let’s just jump to the results, they are why we are here, right? So my first thankful is that I have had the poem, “To Write” published.
  2. People are so supportive! My fellow poets are coming forward to help put together Coffee Table Talk for April. More about that in a future post, but suffice it to say that all spaces are filled and filled up fast!
  3. Daughter has been helping a friend with some projects and I am grateful that daughter is able to help and that she has such a nice friend.
  4. Daughter and friend brought us supper so I did not have to cook! I am so happy when that happens.
  5. Blessings that just come for no reason at all. You know, the ones you didn’t ask for but surely needed.
  6. A book of which I edited is being offered for Free on Kindle today and tomorrow. Don’t you need a book of love poems? I am happy to be a part of this book Love’s Anticipation.
  7. With zoom and other meeting apps we are able to reach so many people.
  8. Collaborations are fun and I am working on one.
  9. Saving one of the bests for last is this weather has brought on the breath of spring!
  10. What’s your thankful? Let’s hear it in the comments or how about a post? Esther is nosy to know, too!
