National Poetry Month daily poems ends today. I am grateful for the challenge and that this is the last day I need to find a prompt. I can guarantee that on May 1 I will still be writing a poem.
I was able to keep up with #1 and brought along some others.
The Garden of Neuro has been a nice group of women to get to know and I am grateful for making new friends and many of my friends have chosen to join.
My book is almost ready to publish. I am working on the cover art, but want to tweak it some more.
Change is something I adapt to well. I think it’s from being a military kid and then moving every so many years afterward. We have to move because the community is wanting all unimproved apartments to be improved. The good news is that we are getting to go into an improved apartment. It’s just waiting for one to open up, but we have until December for an opening to happen. I am grateful we have time.
It is almost pool season. As May is sticking it’s nose over the fence, that means one more month to splish splash.
We get to see Mama in a week. We have not seen her in over a year. We are pretty excited.
I started a new gig. I did it last year and was approved to do it again, so I am happy about that.
It has been magnificently beautiful weather.
YOU – What’s your thankful? Robert wants to know… Just pop it in the link below!
Happy Friday and TTOT day! I found my graphic for National Poetry Month. I has saved it and couldn’t figure out where and there is was in a special folder for April. Duh… Let’s see what’s on the thankful meter…
I found said graphic. Isn’t it pretty. This month is all things poetry. It’s been busy already, but I always look forward to it.
The say to not stare at the sun because it can mess up your vision. After the good news I could not share, I looked at the shadows, the clouds and saw some glimmers of silvers linings which showed me that, a too bright sun can shine the light but you have to pay attention to the clouds. That’s the silver linings part, the clouds showed me that the news I could not and still cannot share was not to be and I am thankful that I was able to make a choice about the decision.
The Poets Coffee Table Talk turned out beautiful. It was well attended and the sharing, the poetry, the important messages about social justice all came together to what I think is an increased awareness.
Susi Bocks shared about her anthology and some of us read contributions.
4. Heart Beats is published and there are two poetry readings on Saturday. These will be by contributors to the anthology. I am thankful how this is all coming together and I am excited to bring all this talent together under one virtual roof. And I am grateful for all the poets for their contributions. Here are the links if interested.

5. I had my annual physical and my numbers were pretty decent. A couple of tweaks needed, but over all, it is not bad. And I have shot number two out of the way. I have a lot of tiredness from it and soon this will pass.
6. The collaboration is coming along nicely.
7. I have been reading a lot of poetry and doing reviews. How would that not be a huge thankful?!!
8. I have contracted again this year for judging a competition. I am grateful for this opportunity.
9. I am grateful I don’t have to go out in the pollen. Not everybody has this choice and I pray for them to be able to manage each day.
10. YOU! What’s your thankful? Please do share either in comments or by posting a blog post. We love to hear good news. Bernie is all ears!!
National Poetry Month! Of course, this gets top billing on my thankfuls! This is one of my favorite months. Every day I write a poem to a prompt and I also write a private poem. The short poems I share and the private poem is saved for possible publishing. I am grateful for this month of focus. It amazes me how much good comes from it all.
Daughter has been helping me with creating special cards for a secret project. She is such a huge help with these things.
Vaccine shot #2 happened on Tuesday. I am grateful for vaccines and grateful for each day closer to getting past the effects of the shot (hey I have to frame it as a pozzie, right).
Grateful for great news I can’t share. Just trust it is super thankfully awesome!
Grateful that the anthology is up and running and the participants are going to read their contributions on April 10.
Thankful for Good Friday and Easter Sunday for the representation of love and light. It is a reminder of how we are all lights for love in this world.
Thankful that my friend tested negative for COVID.
Thankful for so many wonderful books to read and enjoy.
Thankful for coffee and probably those close to me are also thankful I have coffee.
YOU! What do you feel gratitudes for? You can share here or post a post. And you can even share it by clicking on the blue box. Peeker the chickie wants to know!
