The Talk is Released and MORE to Come – Let’s Revisit this Discussion

This is The Talk and .it is now OUT!

The Talk is available on Lulu.com and other online retailers.

November 2022 I posted about The Talk.

This project is of vital importance and I am so grateful for the brave souls who came forward to tell their stories through essays and poetry. There is a strong representation with these author’s words.

On April 12, 2023 at 7 p.m. we are going to have a Book Launch for The Talk. You are invited to attend, to particpate as we continue the discussion behind the talk, the walk, the way of life, the way to survive that people of color have to deal with every day of their lives.

You can register by signing up with the EventBrite link. Then you will get a zoom link on the day of the launch so you can participate in this virtual event.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! As one who has a good amount of Irish in me, I may as well recognize. Let’s start with TTOT!

  1. I don’t have to wear green because I have green eyes! They were blue until a teenager. Weird, huh…
  2. My sister started the traditional green dinner with green koolaid, parsley potatoes, etc. We will have cabbage is as far I can go this day. Glad I have some on hand.
  3. I worked on and finished SEO on my website. WHEW! That’s not my thing, but it had to be done. Relieved!
  4. Some projects have reached an end and others good turning points.
  5. Telephone calls times two this week with people I love to talk with. Yes, there is life beyong texting and emailing.
  6. Tulips. I bought tulips last week and they made it to today. They cheer us up around here.
  7. Books. I have a pile and grateful I can read them. All in due time. I have a couple of pressing ones, first.
  8. Tax season has one month and two days left.
  9. I actually participated in Six Sentence Story today.
  10. YOU! What is your thankful? Come join in the fun!

poetry, six sentence story

the arrangement

Photo by Magda Ehlers on Pexels.com

six silk scarves were spotted when he peeked inside the room

four were tied to the bedposts; two were left on the nightstand

sheets of satin tucked so tight that not a wrinkle showed

he swigged his drink, excused himself as he found his way to the door

she locked up her apartment, slipped into her gown and slippers

poured another glass and lounged on her chaise, and waited for a call

…..

There you have it. Believe it or not, I actually completed a six-lined poem for my contribution to the Six-Sentence Story Challenge. Happy Birthday to Denise.

You can join in the fun, too. Just go to this link and take on the challenge.
