Where have all the odd ones gone?

Hipsters said they never had that problem because they’d given up wearing them years ago to concentrate on growing beards and opening barista bars, where they could converse at length with customers about the quality of the crema and the impeccable FairTrade credentials of their beans.

App developers in Silicon Valley didn’t stop working on ways to embed cheap computer chips in socks so that they could always be tracked down, just like FindMyPhone, using a new technology called FoxMySox.

Reserve Me A Space, Please

Reserve Me A Space, Please

Rather than say it is such an injustice

I will simply say it’s a matter disgustive

Tramping on paths and forests with glee

Be sure you reserve a place for me

I don’t ask too much, but to be free to live

That’s not too much to ask, from your heart to give

Ten Things of Thankful-December 3 2021

Photo by Stijn Dijkstra on Pexels.com

As winter is nipping at fall’s behind, it’s time to think of December and all it brings. Happy whatever you celebrate and let’s get to thankfuls which are for all seasons.

  1. Another good treatment for daughter and she is doing so much better.
  2. Another discovery for my own health for the good.
  3. Nice fall days with less eventful surprises.
  4. Being able to take a road trip for a family visit.
  5. So many pieces of happy news from friends.
  6. Our fire personnel who have been called to end the fire at Pilot Mountain.
  7. The fact that as of today the abovementioned fire is 100% contained.
  8. There was a discovery of what caused the fire and that this can turn into an educational moment. May this never happen again.
  9. That there are other options for outside activity and that it is time to see the outside lights.
  10. YOU

Lost Weekend

Elizabeth drove away to where nobody knew her.

She did not share her destination, nor photos upon her return.

Once her feet warmed to the sand and cooled by the surf, she was home.

She sat on the beach and pondered until the sea breeze pondered her.

Swept away, her thoughts were no longer needed.

Three days later, she woke in her beachfront room and sighed, renewed.
