Having a Vision and Seeing Possibilities — Supporting a Creative Life
I recently wrote the above story on Medium. It is a Friend’s Link so no worries about hitting a pay wall.

Pawned
she went to the pawn shop
slipped the black crocheted bag
from her purse
placed the gold band on the glass
it is in fine condition
regardless of the tears
This is my response to the prompt “Pawn” from Six Sentence Story

Goodbye April
goodbye April days
which melt to April nights
when my muse would
tickle my toes
at 4 a.m.
psst, I have a poem
the flood would hit
wake up or not
it was a tidal wave
some days I’d ride
some days I’d sleep
most days my muse
would smile
this last day
she let me sleep
thank you, Chloe
goodbye April days
May comes with
new poems
I am sure

Evening Falls
evening falls and so do I
into sleep, early in the night
mother nature says “good night”
controls are remote, out in the sky
sonnets clear the worries now
today will turn into tomorrow
just about when my eyes may wiggle
my muse comes to me with a giggle
morning calls me up to write
I bid goodbye to this last night
for today, I will stay on task
another sweet evening is all I ask
This is from the daily prompt of Write Better Poetry
