Ten Things of Thankful – April 30 2021

TGIF and TTOT all on one day! Let’s hop to it!

  1. National Poetry Month daily poems ends today. I am grateful for the challenge and that this is the last day I need to find a prompt. I can guarantee that on May 1 I will still be writing a poem.
  2. I was able to keep up with #1 and brought along some others.
  3. The Garden of Neuro has been a nice group of women to get to know and I am grateful for making new friends and many of my friends have chosen to join.
  4. My book is almost ready to publish. I am working on the cover art, but want to tweak it some more.
  5. Change is something I adapt to well. I think it’s from being a military kid and then moving every so many years afterward. We have to move because the community is wanting all unimproved apartments to be improved. The good news is that we are getting to go into an improved apartment. It’s just waiting for one to open up, but we have until December for an opening to happen. I am grateful we have time.
  6. It is almost pool season. As May is sticking it’s nose over the fence, that means one more month to splish splash.
  7. We get to see Mama in a week. We have not seen her in over a year. We are pretty excited.
  8. I started a new gig. I did it last year and was approved to do it again, so I am happy about that.
  9. It has been magnificently beautiful weather.
  10. YOU – What’s your thankful? Robert wants to know… Just pop it in the link below!

Evening Falls

Evening Falls

evening falls and so do I
into sleep, early in the night
mother nature says “good night”
controls are remote, out in the sky

sonnets clear the worries now
today will turn into tomorrow
just about when my eyes may wiggle
my muse comes to me with a giggle

morning calls me up to write
I bid goodbye to this last night
for today, I will stay on task
another sweet evening is all I ask

This is from the daily prompt of Write Better Poetry
