Lessons not told in history books
I asked myself
what worth am I
to a relationship
with you.
I questioned
my deficiencies.
As you kept wandering.
checking your phone.
having clandestine chats.
That’s when I knew
it was not me.
All you needed
was available
at home.
You desired
to look elsewhere
and I let you go.

Bubbles
effervescent water tickled her nose
she giggled at the bubbles
she was vivacious, blowing through the wand
her kitty chased the soap bubbles
he leapt about the room
Fido was not pleased

and side to side
with the flow or against
we move in varying degrees
executing a series of gradations
achieving defeats and successes
we become in the motion
