Speechless at the Oasis

Speechless at the Oasis
Crossing hot dunes to
Cool, grasses calming my feet
Heat radiates free
Grasping the well of coolness
Soothing leathered throats with drink
Lovers are speechless

Compassionate Poems

I am most pleased to announce that three of my poems on the topic of Compassion have been published in Adelaide Literary Journal #41. Here is the LINK
Respect

Respect
Aretha said it well
Singing it from her soul
it was about a man
but, you know, anything goes
R E S P E C T
just what does it mean to me?
Responding with care
Elegantly commenting
Stating with caution
Placing others feelings in perspective
Edging to the other side with grace
Caring before conveying
Taking the time to listen
Try a Little Tenderness – An Acrostic

Take it easy with yourself
Enter that which is soothing to your soul
Needs are important to fulfill
Do what makes you happy and harms nobody else
Exercise your right to be who you are
Reach out for help as you may need
…..
This is my response to the Six Sentence Story this week to the key word “Tender”
