I am using one of my favorite poetry forms called Pantoum  I discovered this form of poetry several years ago and have written a few. You will see them in my next book.

Assurance of A Love to Last

assurance of a love to last
what we wish for all the more
to not pretend and to be free
allowing risk to take control

what we wish for all the more
to have a love that moves with ease
allowing risk to take control
feeling the full ocean breeze

to have a love that moves with ease
and have no worries about the taste
feeling the full ocean breeze
fully tinguate your face

and have no worries about the taste
is to allow all time to flow
fully tinguate your face
surrendering to what’s below

is to allow all time to flow
enough to give you what you need
surrendering to what’s below
can you keep up with fervent speed

enough to give you what you need
assurance of a love to last
can you keep up with fervent speed
to not pretend and to be free

Today’s National Poetry Month poem is about Love based on the prompt from Robert Lee Brewer’s Poetic Asides Blog.

“Write a love poem. All you need is love.
Write an anti-love poem. Or not.”
