Today is National DNA Day How about writing a poem about this topic? Now that may be a stretch, a swirl, a twist, a challenge, but where’s the fun if you don’t test yourselves. I have an idea cooking already.

For today’s prompt let’s write a gentle poem. It could be about being kind, gentle, caring, perhaps missing the gentleness of others from lack of touch. What are your gentle thoughts this day? Please share what you write. Have a gentle day. And while you are at it, here’s a lovely station to listen to and reminisce about spending time at the cafe.
For today’s prompt let’s write a poem reminiscent of William Shakespeare. After all, today is the date he left this world and just 3 days later would have been his birthday. You can take something he wrote and do your own interpretation of jazz up whatever you wish. As You Like It!!

My dear mother used to say “If a frog had wings then he wouldn’t bump his but.” It was usually in response to some lame excuse I was coming up with. Let’s try an “If-Then” poem. In the poem you would propose “If…” and respond, whenever it fits, with “then.” If you write a poem for this prompt, then please let me know. You can put it in the comments. If so, then I will be so appreciative.

Let’s write a Sunday poem. What does Sunday mean to you? Is this a special day in one way or another? Please be sure to share!
