Power
Powerful waves rush to the shore as I
lounge in the chaise with toes in gritty sand.
Sandy shores, crunch under weathered old soles.
Souls lost on the shores across other lands
find their place to reside and live within.
Whether or not the vessels believe this
hearts beat and lives live on because of those
who gave their lives for their own true reasons.
We are powerless to know human minds.
We are powerful to make up our own.
…
There you have it! This is my response to the prompt: POWERFUL for this weeks Six Sentence Story
Would you like to write a story or poem in response to this prompt?
Go to Girlie on the Edge and give it a try.
We cannot control the sun
We cannot control the waves
We can control amount of energy received

It is good that we are powerful enough to make up our own minds.

Such a beautiful Six, with the backdrop of the ocean, and the narrator reflecting on human life while being at the shore – a dividing line between the two.

Beautiful Six, Lisa and the music suits the tone. I can’t help but think it fitting for this Memorial Day weekend. I love the last line. Yes, we are.
