
gather kindling-twigs n leaves, paper debris, light a match
find strong branches, trim them down, roast marshmallows, make s’mores
wrapped in grandma’s red plaid blanket, snuggle closer
notice sticky candy lips, take a chance and kiss them gently
flames lap at your feet, kisses sweet enough to eat
this is how a fire is made, starting with a twig to flame
