Ten Things of Thankful – January 29 2022

Good Morning and Welcome to my day late and dollar short version of TTOT! Let’s hop to it!

  1. We did get a little snow and a little more after snow #1 melted. From the look out my window, snow #2 has commenced to melting, so that means safe travels, so yay!
  2. I received notification that four poems entitled “Memories Sweet Taste”, “This Thing About Trees”, “There Was A Night In Raleigh”, and “An Uncertain Life” have all been accepted for The Short of It on the I Write Her website. It’s such an honor to have these poems accepted.
  3. With the best of efforts, I have managed to escape viruses and hope to continue to do so. I am not a hermit, but I try to be careful. It’s not easy, though, for those who have to work or be educated outside the home.
  4. We had a great turnout for submissions for the anthology “Social Justice Inks.” The poems have been through their first organization and next is to deep read them.
  5. We are starting to get some submissions for the caregivers project. There is room for more, for sure.
  6. This morning I participated in an International Women’s Poetry Reading at the Garden of Neuro. It was lovely and one person read her poetry in Swedish.
  7. Coffee.
  8. Warmth BIG TIME
  9. My great niece is going to do the artwork for the caregiver’s project.
  10. YOU Toss me a snowball full of thankfuls!

  1. #1 seems like you guys south of us (here in New England) have been getting all the snow. Today is catch-up day for accumulation of frozen sky water. Not my favorite meteorological event.
#2 ! very cool, congratulations must feel very good

    1. Thank you! Clark, I want you to know that I read your posts, but the response from my tablet often gets caught up in the wordpress filter and doesn’t recognize me, even though I am logged in to WordPress. So, I will tell you here how much I cherish your words.

  2. Hopefully the Bomb Tornado storm in New England didn’t slip down into your area.
Congratulations on the acceptance of your submissions.
Tell me more about the caregivers project. It sounds interesting.
