Spices set out as a recipe is planned
Extra helpings just in case the taste has waned
Asking closest relatives for their seasoning secrets
Selecting just the right amount so the pot is not spoiled
Offering to share the results of seasoned foods
Nothing is much better than the loving care that goes into cooking
…..
This is my contribution to the Six Sentence Story responding to the prompt “Season”
Good one, Lisa. I like that there is something almost magical to the experience of cooking when experimenting with spices.

Seasoning secrets can sometimes be safely guarded and tightly held. I have been getting recipes from my 80 year old father and trying them out while he can advise. This pleases us both.

It is interesting to see how much recipes have changed over the years, and making comparisons when it comes to how many and what seasonings are included.

Cooking (and sharing of food) is an incredible bonding agent. Not to be confused, of course, with binding agent 😉
Creative Six, Lisa. And I totally agree with your last sentence 🙂
