Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Welcome to GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!
It’s with a little bit of sadness that I write. I began feeling so several days ago when I observed the subtle change in the morning’s light, this morning ever more so, as I realize today represents the end of summer *sigh*. It’s true! The calendar in this part of the hemisphere may read “First Day of Summer”, but for myself and others, it’s the end. Days will now become shorter. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest, I appreciate your ear, which in this format, is reading. Which is what we do here at Six Sentence Stories when we’re not writing. Say what?
