May 1 – May Day Memories

Some of us, closer to maybe my age, may remember the May Pole in the playground. It was this pole with extensions that you hung onto and ran in a circle as fast as you could before lifting your feet. Then there was the tradition of gathering wildflowers for a May Day Bouquet. Oh, those were the days. But…we have every day we can celebrate. I bring you my first four line poem for May. Enjoy!
