Today’s post opens the door to reveal the newest prompt word to use for this most awesome of blog hops, Six Sentence Stories. Officially opening US EST this Thursday, “unofficially” opening Wednesday for our international writers, the challenge is proffered. Write, in precisely 6 sentences: a story, a poem, the next scene from your current serial story (very popular at the Six) or maybe a soc piece. Write 6 sentences. What if we had a clock where, instead of the ordinals representing hours, they represented months? At the end of the 12th month, it would roll over to the next year and a number would flash in the center of the clock. The optional feature (of course) is what the year represents. Option 1: your age. Option 2: the current year. Regardless of the numerics, at the conclusion of 12 months, the clock would begin flashing, there, in the center either the YEAR or your AGE…Hey, let’s give it up for Cassa Bassa! She took me up on last Sunday’s post invitation to provide this week’s prompt word. You go girl!

It’s a new year.  Membership cards renewed. Now what? Exciting question. Scary question. This new year, let’s challenge ourselves to write more, explore our imaginations more, be alert to opportunities for meeting new and different characters. We never really know what they may teach us if we don’t take the time to get to know them. Please accept this first invitation of the year 2021, to write a Six Sentence Story.
