Happy TTOT time! Let’s pour a cuppa and have a chat.
So, how has you week been? I have been super busy but finding time to meditate on being thankful. Some of the events of this week have been: 1 The Call for Submissions for the Cadence anthology closed, and I am grateful that most of the entries were still available when I sent contracts. We won’t talk about the elephant in the living room that sat on the criteria. 2. I have been focusing on getting more movement in and that is going super well. We just came in from a walk to the drug store. It’s nice to be a safe walking distance from there. 3. It’s cool, but sunny and has been that way most of the week. 4. My sweetheart did a lovely presentation at the Raleigh Content Creators Group yesterday. 5. Cabbage. We have an abundance of cabbage. I put two heads in the crock pot with some carrots. This is such a healthy food. I can make a meal of just that. We will see about the rest of them. My mother and I used to have cabbage for lunch. I would cook it while she was working in the gift shop. We never had it for supper. We had to air out the apartment so when dad came home there was no evidence. He had the best nose and could detect cabbageness. There are some other things we fooled dad about. By the time I was a teenager, I knew how mom cooked her meals. She usually liked to be left to cook by herself and asked when she needed someone to do something. I am the same way. Mom was so tired of cooking by then that we traded off. She would work in the gift shop, and I would cook supper. It was our little secret. If dad knew someone else had cooked his meals, he wouldn’t have liked it. Yes, we were sneaky, but it was mom approved and dad was none the wiser. I did tell him much later in life when he would come to our house to eat. He just smiled and said I was taught by the best. 6. Groceries are high, that’s for sure, but I am grateful for stores like Aldi’s and Lidl. The quality is not sacrificed for the names. 7. Daughter is having a birthday on the 12th and is excited about her upcoming Night to Shine event, sponsored by the Tebow Foundation. 8. Daughter did the prayer at church today, during the sacrament service. 9. I have on reading left to do. Or so they say… 10. YOU! What’s your thankful? Please share in a post or add in comments. Have a blessed week.

My daughter has been to Joy Prom and then Night to Shine took its place around here. She has a great time. It also is nice that her best friend can go with her.

excellent form (for a TToT post)*
A letter (do people do that anymore) from a friend to get caught up. Nicely conversational.
have a good week ahead!

I am getting ready to read all of them! Thank you. I love letters and even did a book with letters called Dear Heart. It was the anthology for last year. It was fun.

I’m with your dad on cabbageness. My husband likes corned beef and cabbage and can only cook it if I am out of town for at least a week!
