I ask myself each day which mark I’m on.
It could be the starting point of a poem
or a long list of things I have to do.
I set my plan in place by listing tasks.
My mental gun blasts GO.
Like a runner, I follow the path to the end.
There you have it! This is my contribution to the SSS which I have been doing weekly for a good while. Denise makes the majic words appear and keeps us on the page. Thank you to Denise for always being there and cheering us on. You can also be a part of this by going to this LINK
Good Six, Lisa. I sometimes make lists too and enjoy ticking off the tasks. Well said about D, her magic words, and keeping us on page 😁 She’s a star!

I really respond to this piece, Lisa. Mark-making is the most essential part of beginning to make art – to draw, paint, or other mediums. It holds endless possibilities for us and as you say once you have set your intention – aimed at your mark – you follow it to the finish.

I’m a great maker of lists (and lists of lists), so your Six really spoke to me, Lisa. 🙂 Kudos to you, and to Denise for keeping us busy each week.

So that’s your secret! Like a runner following to the end. Oh, Lisa. I am so not a runner, lol
But I do (sometimes) make lists and! I recently bought a new pair of sneakers. Perhaps now I need not suffer the loneliness of the long distance runner 😉
You are most welcome! Thank you, Lisa, for your tireless support of Six Sentence Stories!
P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Thank you! I just noticed that I was using the word “Set” for the prompt and it is actually “Net” and where is my brain? I am not a runner except in my dreams where I actually run, walk and dance in the clouds.

I love to make lists! I lose most of them, sometimes before I’ve finished one task on it, but I still love the mental exercise of physically writing it. I even write things on my list that I’ve already done just for the joy of crossing it off!
