Good Morning and Happy New Year for the first TTOT of 2021!
Let’s get the party started!
- Putting away Christmas, getting stuff ready for charity drop off, a cleaner house.
- Poetry Dive. It’s something I do periodically and it helps me a lot. It is for January.
- Creativity month, besides the poetry, this focuses on artsy stuff. There is something to do each day, but I am not going to be too hard on myself as I have other things I must do
- Projects a plenty with publishing a book or two, actually I believe it’s three. The next few months will be busy.
- It was a nice day to go for a walk after the rains of yesterday, but I am grateful for the rain. Went to the gym which we have been avoiding but thought we would assess the business of it for early morning and we were the only ones there.
- Fellow writers and artists will know what I am talking about when it comes to getting rid of things. I find notebooks with ideas and even cards and slips of paper. Who knows if it could be the next big idea? So, it’s a bit of a challenge to sort them out. But I did sort out some old business to be inserted in the round file (OUCH).
- Grateful I can cook Southern traditional New Years food for good luck and nutrition, for sure.
- Grateful there are people who need relief are going to get some help.
- Grateful for health and security.
- YOU! Whatcha got for us? Be sure and come to the table and raise a glass of cheer! That’s Sprite, doncha know WINK WINK
good list. i recognize many to do; busy January.

I love decorating for Christmas, but it’s also good to get it all put away again! And a great time for cleaning out and organizing. Sounds like you have a busy few months ahead of you!

I’m kinda missing it but the cleaner house feels good.

I so relate to number 6–my “files” are full of scraps of words and phrases, and sometimes a full (not torn) post-it note, wow! Does your traditional cooking include black-eyed peas?? I made a pot of them with sauerkraut, red potatoes and chicken-apple sausage…it’s a combo dish: mom was from the south. It’s nutritious and tasty 🙂 Sounds like you have another very busy year ahead, Lisa–find a healthy pace (advice from an older tired woman, hah)!😊

Thank you. Yeah, I listen to my body and take breaks. With chronic pain you gotta.

Happy New Year!!!! what kind of crafty creations do you create? I am a paper crafter…love making Junk Journals. My eyebrows raised to your lines about the notes and things from friends and other writers and the tidbits you might find. I am constantly snagging little treasures I find for future Junk Journals!!!!

I so relate to your #6. I have so many little papers with comments, notes, etc. that I have to go through on a fairly regular basis.
Wishing the best as you get started on your list of things to accomplish in 2021.

I’ve never heard of poetry dive or creativity month. They both sound really interesting though. I”m glad you aren’t being too hard on yourself. Your sothern dishes sound delicious!

Thank you. I call it creativity month but it’s really a month of ideas to do a new project every day. Well…the poetry is happening but not the other. Sometimes I save the ideas for another month.

I bought Sparkling Grape Juice and didn’t even open it but I did have my Black Eyed Peas as I am also Southern. Poetry is something I want to teach my son this year in Homeschool.

We also do the de-Christmasizing on New Years day. Fun holiday but its also very good to get our regular house back.
Congrats on the publishing
…and up here, (southern New England), the rain has washed away the snow… helps, even though temperatures are still pretty seasonal.
Have a good week.
