It’s TTOT time! Let’s get at it!
- Family Fun Night with the apartment community. We each did watercolors of fruit slices with a Zoom lesson from our CARES team. They plan all kinds of fun activities and this is one of many they have done as a workaround from the virus. They even provided sodas for our adventures, along with a bag of art supplies to do this.
- Success for my God children who were able to buy a new-to-be-built house. Thankful for low interest rates.
- Maintenance crew fixed the air conditioner for good. It took a couple of trips to seal the deal, but it is running like a champ! I am so grateful to be able to call and let them worry about the how tos.
- Two poems were accepted for publication in an online magazine. There were two very tender poems, to me, and I am glad to find them a home.
- Support in the writing community from various channels. Writing sprints, poetry critique group, writing support online are all wins!
- Getting to read lots of real life stories.
- Fireworks on the T.V. I enjoyed them just as much if not more because of heat and bugs and lots of people could all be a non-issue.
- Getting to read a beautiful books of poems for someone who is going to be publishing.
- Sunglasses.
- YOU! What’s up in your life? How about coming online and sharing your lovelies? Won’t you join me for a picnic?
Oh, a virtual picnic–how fun! Count me in! π
I’m glad your a/c is working properly now. July is a bad month to have no a/c.
Congrats on all your writing endeavors.
The Family Fun Night sounds fun! (Guess they named it appropriately!) π

I suggested they do a pajama walk and they loved that idea. So, I expect that in August or September. My niece’s family does that on their base in Utah. They are big p.j. wearers!

Nicely done. We can always find a list to be thankful for. I have always loved picnics, even simple ones as a kid to the romantic ones lakeside, in the forest, at the beach, in the meadow….sounds like a poem forming.

Congrats on the (getting work) published!
AC surely earns, at minimum, a seasonal permanent grat status,
Sunglasses, I totally concur, for whatever reason, the arc welding light of a summer sun is less fu than I seem to remember.
Have a good week.

Yeah for a working air conditioner, especially when it begins to heat up in some areas. It has continued to be on the cool side here, but I think that may change soon.
I am glad you found a home for your tender poems.

I hate to be such a first world person, but I would perish without a/c! Glad yours is fixed. Congrats on being published. I’m not a huge fan of fireworks, could take them or leave them, but watching without bugs is a plus.
